The Spiritual usage of oils is well-documented throughout history, across hundreds of cultures and traditions. As early as 4500 BCE, aromatic oils enjoyed a prominent place in Egyptian culture. Sacred blends were used by the Pharoahs to attract Love, Health, and even success in diplomatic matters. Specific fragrance oils were also created in honor of various Gods, and used to consecrate their statues and icons.

In both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, there are numerous mentions of oils being used for consecrating, blessing, healing and cleansing. They were used to anoint kings, and the sick were blessed with oils to bring them health and comfort. The book of Exodus even includes a recipe for one of these sacred blends!
