One of the most popularized and misunderstood tools associated with New Orleans Voodoo is... the Voodoo Doll. The pins are actually used to concentrate energy on a certain area of the human body, mind or Spirit - normally to heal and bless, not hurt the individual represented by the doll.

Description:

Made & Blessed by local New Orleans Voodoo Priestess Sallie Ann, these "Packets" are based on traditional fetishes from Africa, and are reinterpreted in New Orleans as a gris-gris bag style doll. They wrap and tie up blessed herbs and other substances that act as power points or "packages of God's medicine".

They are said to concentrate a particular, empowering universal force. When you receive your packet, truly make it your own by endowing it with some of your own energy. Write your wish on a piece of parchment and in your mind, visualize the wish coming true. Add some of your hair, sweat, or a personally powerful bead or feather, etc. Sit the Wanga Packet on top of the parchment and focus with it as often as possible to achieve your desired result.

Each Wanga will be unique and special. Packets are handmade & blessed for the following purposes: Love and Passion, Money and Good Luck, Peace and Protection.
